‘I know Chiefs…’ – Khanye makes bold prediction on Amakhosi’s CAF chances

Outspoken soccer analyst Junior Khanye has predicted that his former team, Kaizer Chiefs, will be eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup.

Despite Amakhosi currently sitting at the top of their group, the 40-year-old former winger believes they will lose their final group game. The Soweto giants have won three consecutive matches in the CAF Confederation Cup, placing them first in their group with 10 points.

They only need a draw away against Zamalek to secure advancement to the next round. However, Khanye remains unimpressed by Chiefs’ performance in Africa and anticipates an early exit for them this weekend.

“For me it’s going to be difficult,” said Khanye on iDiski TV.

“Kaizer Chiefs will go there for a draw, it’s going to be difficult, they won’t get it. Zamalek are going to win at home.

“I know Chiefs have two extra goal advantage and ZESCO won’t hurt Al Masry in Egypt. Al Masry and Zamalek are going to the quarter-finals. Al Masry must score two goals.”

Khanye not giving Chiefs a chance

Although Amakhosi needs just a draw to advance from the group, the former SA U/23 winger is not convinced by Chiefs performance in this competition.

“I wasn’t convinced by Kaizer Chiefs today [Sunday], but we congratulate them for winning. And going away is going to be difficult, I’m talking about the treatment, and they will be playing against the referee,” Khanye added.

“ZESCO has nothing to lose, so ask yourself with ZESCO going to Al Masry a very good side, we’ll see what will happen.”

He predicted the two Egyptian teams to reach the quarter-finals.
