Mamelodi Sundowns legend Hlompho Kekana has raved about Teboho Mokoena’s goal in the side’s 2-2 draw with Al Hilal in the CAF Champions League on Friday.
The group C clash was poised at 1-1 after an hour at Loftus stadium when the homes side won a corner kick which started the movement for Mokoena’s stunner from 28 meters out.
The goal saw Sundowns take the lead for the first time in the game albeit losing it eventually as the encounter ended in a stalemate.
Kekana who is known for netting such goals in his playing days marvelled at Mokoena’s effort saying it takes bravery and hard work to perfect such shots.
“I love watching football matches when there are goals like this,” said Kekana on SABC TV.
“It takes bravery it takes a level of work to perfect such a technique because it’s a difficult technique to execute especially now that somebody is charging you. You have to make sure that before he arrives you hit that thing and make sure you hit the target.”
“The more I see it in slow motion it becomes nicer. I think you can clip that video for me I must put it on my socials.”
