Ghana have announced their squad to face Bafana Bafana in a friendly match on 16 December.
The South African Football Association had confirmed that Bafana will face Ghana in a friendly match next week and then travel to Morocco the following day.
However, Ghana have now confirmed they will not send their actual senior side, the Black Stars to South Africa and instead travel with their so-called “Black Galaxies” side – composed of local-based players who will compete in the CHAN tournament.
“The Black Galaxies, led by Coach Kassim Mingle, will use the match to prepare for their CHAN Qualifiers as South Africa also wrap up their preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations,” the Ghana Football Association announced.
“The team has been training at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, playing friendly matches to build momentum.”
