TS Galaxy coach Adnan Beganovic has promised that defender Khulumani Ndamane will spend the season with the Rockets despite reports linking the player with a move away from the club.
This publication first reported that Sundowns were in talks with Ndamane, and latest news by the public broadcaster stated the two clubs are close to reaching an agreement.
However, speaking at the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season launch, Beganovic didn’t stutter when asked if the player will finish the campaign with the Mpumalanga-based outfit.
“I can promise you he’s staying here with us,” he insisted, with a potential loan-back to Galaxy understood to be discussed with Sundowns.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed a stellar first topflight season with Galaxy, featuring in 27 matches across all competitions, helping the side to a top 8 finish, while also catching the attention of Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos last season.
Meanwhile, Beganovic also insisted that he wants more than just to survive this season.
“I think this season I don’t want to talk about surviving. I don’t want to talk about the same issues,” he continued.
“I saw exactly what we have and we analysed everything and we just use what we have in that moment.
“I can promise you we’ll be a tough opponent for every team. We want to put our goals high, we want to fight for a top-8 spot because of everything we did in the last six, seven months.
“We started this pre-season and we want to just add on everything we did last season.
“I know it can’t be easy and we will need the time to teach our new players our vision, our philosophy and our model, how we want to look, how we want to play this season.
“Until now I’m happy with what I saw in pre-season.”
Galaxy open their league campaign with a home clash against newly-promote Durban City on Sunday.
