Former Mamelodi Sundowns administrator Peter Koutroulis has embarked on a new chapter in his career by joining a team in the PSL ahead of the new season.

The veteran administrator found a new home in the Motsepe Foundation Championship following his departure at Pretoria Callies.

Koutroulis parted ways with Callies in June after spending just one season with the club.

And prior to his stint at Callies, he also worked at Sekhukhune United during their promotion to the DStv Premiership.

Koutroulis is a seasoned campaigner in football management as he has 30 years of experience. He also worked at Thanda Royal Zulu‚ Mpumalanga Black Aces and Chippa United.

“He is certainly joining the club. The club bosses want to beef up the management structure. Magesi wants to compete this season and don’t be surprised to see some quality players,” said the mole.

Magesi are in their second season in the Motsepe Foundation Championship following their promotion from the SAFA ABC Motsepe League. It is also their second time in the first division after spending just one season during 2016/17. They finished at position 12 last season under coach Clinton Larsen.

This publication has also gathered that Larsen is expected to stay for another season at the helm. He was given the mandate to save the status last season but the club has reportedly tasked him with the huge task of securing promotion next season.

Assistant coach Jacky Ledwaba is also expected to remain in the position alongside Larsen. Ledwaba was in charge when the club gained promotion but stepped aside when Larsen arrived.

The club has also kept some of the experienced players signed from last season. This includes Zimbabwean international Elvis Chipezeze and his former Baroka teammate Manuel Kambala.

The club is also expected to hold a media briefing in the next few days to unveil their plans.
