Former Sundowns defensive flop joins Liverpool on loan

Former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Lucas Suarez is set complete a season-long loan deal with Uruguayan outfit Liverpool Futbol Club.

Suarez recently left Sundowns after they decided against making his loan stay permanent at the end of the season.

The left-footed centre-back had joined Sundowns from Argentine outfit CA Talleres at the start of the year.

And while Suarez had a promising start to his career at Sundowns, he fell out of favour with club fans and later the Sundowns technical team.

He left Sundowns having made just 14 appearances across all competitions amid some costly defensive mistakes.
