The 32-year-old Kutumela was available on a free transfer after leaving Richards Bay FC at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

Kutumela’s arrival at Usuthu confirms his seventh Betway Premiership club move, underlining just how many chapters his Premier Soccer League career has had.

His previous stops include Baroka FC, Orlando Pirates, Maritzburg United, Mamelodi Sundowns, Cape Town City, and, most recently, Richards Bay FC.

AMAZULU FC ANNOUNCE THABISO KUTUMELA

The Mokopane-born attacker placed himself on AmaZulu’s radar after a decent CHAN tournament with Bafana Bafana in August. In that tournament, he scored three goals despite South Africa’s early elimination in the first round. That form was a timely reminder of his finishing ability.

His move to Usuthu was announced by the Durban giants on Tuesday via social media. “Say hello to our new warrior: 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘀𝗼 𝗞𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗮. Welcome to AmaZulu Football Club!” the Arthur Zwane-coached side said.

Meanwhile, the Kutumela, who made his name at Orlando Pirates, has 40 goals and 14 assists in 185 PSL games.
