Former Kaizer Chiefs player joins Orlando Pirates

A former Kaizer Chiefs starlet has joined Orlando Pirates’ feeder team.

The Glamour Boys have produced a number of incredible talents over the years from their academy.

And now, their arch rivals are set to take benefit from Chiefs’ thorough development curriculum.

Kaizer Chiefs academy graduate joins Orlando Pirates

According to the latest transfer reports, Ayanda Rorwana has joined The Buccaneers’ B team.

Previously, the team was known as Pele Pele FC, however they’ve since changed their name to ‘Pirates’.

The feeder team play in the ABC Motsepe League. Over the years, they’ve produced a number of first team players for the Buccaneers.

Rorwana came through the ranks at Kaizer Chiefs FC, starring for the club’s academy teams as well as their reserve team.

The midfielder was loaned out to Swallows FC and Pretoria Callies before being released by Kaizer Chiefs in 2021.

Now, at 27-years of age, Rorwana is looking to revive his career and build a name for himself at the Buccaneers.

According to reputable local publication FARPost, Rorwana already made his debut for Pirates’ feeder team over the weekend.

“Former Kaizer Chiefs DStv Diski Challenge star Ayanda Rorwana has joined Orlando Pirates in the ABC Motsepe League for the 2025/26 campaign,” the publication reported.
