‘Fill up FNB and see us collect maximum points’ – Kaizer Chiefs captain

Posted on November 4, 2025

Kaizer Chiefs captain Brandon Petersen has encouraged supporters to fill up the FNB Stadium ahead of their league clash against Orbit College.

Amakhosi come from a hard-fought 1-0 win over Durban City this past weekend at the Moses Mabhida Stadium. This was their first league victory in two months.

A win has put the team back into the title picture with only three points separating them and log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

Kaizer Chiefs return to FNB

“It’s a very good feeling for me [to keep clean sheets]; it is important to have clean sheets, but I think what’s more important is a good overall team performance and maximum points,” Petersen said.

“I am not really focused on how many clean sheets I am keeping. What’s more important is to make sure that we have a good team performance week in [and] week out. I’d take a good victory over a clean sheet any day.”

Petersen has been in great form, keeping seven clean sheets in the league this season. Four of the seven clean sheets have come at the FNB Stadium and the Kaizer Chiefs captain is eager to maintain his form.

Under the leadership of Youssef Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze, Petersen was made captain for the rest of the season.

“I am encouraging our fans to come and fill up FNB Stadium on Wednesday, come see us collect maximum points,” said the Kaizer Chiefs captain.

Amakhosi play Orbit College on Tuesday at 19:30.
