SA tactician Fadlu Davids led Raja Club Athletic to the summit of the Botola Pro after they beat Difaâ Hassani El-Jadidi 2-0 on the road in his first match at the helm.
Davids announced his exit from Simba SC on Monday to return to the Moroccan giants where he won the domestic double unbeaten as assistant under Josef Zinnbauer in 2023/24.
His return started off on a good note after El-Jadidi defender Marouane Lemzaouri turned the ball into his own net following Bilal Ouldshikh’s resilience to put the visitors 1-0 in front after just 15 minutes.
Raja then doubled their lead in the 69th minute through Ismail Khafi and the home side thought they had pulled one back in the 86th minute but saw the goal being ruled out.
The win takes Raja to seven points from three matches, one point above RS Berkane in second who have however played a match less.
