Fadlu Names Most Dangerous Team in AFCON

Posted on January 4, 2026

Raja Casablanca coach Fadlu Davids has named a team that he feels is “the most dangerous” at the ongoing AFCON in Morocco.

Davids happens to be based in Casablanca, Morocco where the tournament is taking place at the moment, as he spearheads Raja.

He acknowledged that Morocco remain among the favourites to lift the continental trophy, largely because they are the hosts.

However, he believes Senegal are the most dangerous, noting their fluid passing and aggressive play in the final third.

“Of course, Morocco are favourites as the hosts, but I’m really impressed with Senegal,” said Davids on the Five-a-Side Podcast.

“They are a dynamic team, fluid in terms of their passing and really aggressive in the final third.

“They are a team that probably looks the most dangerous at this stage of the tournament.”

Senegal won their first AFCON title in 2021, defeating Egypt on penalties in the final and are now targeting a second continental triumph.

They face Sudan in the quarter-final on Saturday, 3 January, at Grand Stade de Tanger in Tangier, with kick-off set for 18:00.
