Former Stellenbosch FC defender Liam de Kock is set to join Durban City ahead of the 2025/26 season.
De Kock, 24, left Stellenbosch upon the expiry of his contract and looked poised for a move to AmaZulu but it appears the two parties could not agree on terms.
City have now swooped in for the left-footed defender who was an integral part of the Stellenbosch squad that won the 2022 DDC title and Premier League NXT Gen Cup.
Sources within the club have confirmed a four-year deal has been agreed for the defender, as they look to bolster the squad in their debut season in the South African top-flight after winning the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
City, led by new head coach Gavin Hunt, were in action against Golden Arrows this weekend, where Thabo Nodada, Haashim Domingo and Darren Keet were all spotted – ahead of their expected moves.
