Egypt and South Africa’s line-ups for their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations clash in Group B at the Ardrar Stadium has been announced.
After a ‘break’ for Christmas, the AFCON resumes on boxing day, with a mouth-watering clash between the record seven-time Champions and the 1996 Champions in Agadir.
Both sides secured 2-1 wins in the opening games, with Bafana Bafana ousting Angola, and Egypt steering past Zimbabwe, who played each other in the earlier kickoff in another Cosafa Derby.
Victory for either side this afternoon will secure qualification to the knockout stages with one game to spare, while a draw could also seal a place, depending on results in other groups for the best third placed finishes, which historically, four points has been enough.
