Egypt vs Bafana Bafana live on SABC

Posted on December 25, 2025

Group B of Afcon 2025 may see Bafana Bafana or Egypt march into the final 16.

The two sides square off on Friday, 26 December, at the Stade Adrar in Agadir, Morocco at 17:00 (SA time).

South Africa, 1996 champions and Egypt, who have lifted the Afcon for a record seven times, kicked off matchday one with respective 2-1 wins over Angola and Zimbabwe on Monday, 22 December.

AFCON 2025: EGYPT VS BAFANA BAFANA

According to the TV schedule, the battle between the Pharaohs and Bafana Bafana will be live on SABC 2 at 17:00.

Speaking to the media ahead of the battle, coach Hugo Broos downplayed South Africa’s 27-match unbeaten run in all competitions.

“It’s not that we are trying to reach a certain target of being unbeaten,” Broos told journalists. “We just want to win every game.

“That’s our philosophy, and we are trying to show that on the pitch, like we did in the second half. Again, it’s very nice, and we are happy with it.

The Bafana Bafana tactician said that if given the choice between extending an unbeaten run and winning the Africa Cup of Nations, the answer was clear.

“So yes, it’s nice to have that record, but for me it’s the same – no more, no less,” the Belgian added.
