Downs Suspension Blow For Crunch Sekhukhune Clash

Posted on January 26, 2026

Mamelodi Sundowns have been dealt a suspension blow with the unavailability of influential midfielder Teboho Mokoena ahead of Tuesday night’s Betway Premiership clash away to Sekhukhune United.

‘Tebza’ was given his marching orders after picking up his second yellow card in the league clash against Siwelele FC on Wednesday, 3 December 2025.

The Bafana Bafana international was dismissed in the 81st minute of that tie which ended in a 1–1 stalemate.

Mokoena, 29, is the only suspended player across all 16 teams for this week’s matches though his teammates – Aubrey Modiba, Arthur Sales and Keanu Cupido are all on a suspension tightrope as they sit on three yellow cards each.

Masandawana make the trip to Babina Noko on Tuesday, 27 January, with the tie getting underway at 19:30 from the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
