Former Golden Arrows striker Knox Mutizwa has completed a move to Richards Bay, iDiski Times has learnt.
The Zimbabwean forward is set to join the Natal Rich Boyz after parting ways with Abafana Bes’thende this week, having stopped training with the club last season.
Mutizwa trained with Durban City for several weeks, hoping to secure a contract with the team that was promoted to the top-flight last season.
It is understood he was offered a contract by City last week and was close to putting pen to paper after impressing while training with the team.
However, the 31-year-old has now signed with Richards Bay, who are understood to have offered a better deal to secure his services, signing a one-year deal and to extend with a further year.
The former Bidvest Wits man is set to bolster their striking department. His arrival comes after the departure of key player Yanela Mbuthuma, who joined Orlando Pirates.
During his time at Arrows, Mutizwa netted 63 goals and provided 23 assists in 231 appearances.
