Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns will meet for the first time this Wednesday in a Betway Premiership clash.

Masandawana go into the match on a low note after crashing out of the MTN8 semi-finals at the hands of Orlando Pirates. Having started the league slowly, the Brazilians will look for three points against Amakhosi in a game that the Tshwane team needs to win.

Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso is underpressure to deliver and anything less than a win could see him get the axe.

What time is Kaizer Chiefs playing Mamelodi Sundowns?

The match between Chiefs and Sundowns will be played at the FNB Stadium on Wednesday evening (27 August). Kick-off is scheduled for 19:30.

Amakhosi are currently second in the Betway Premiership after winning their opening three matches. Their 100% record is underthreat but a win on Wednesday could solidify their title credentials.

Who will win between Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns?

The last time the two teams played, Amakhosi claimed a 2-1 win in the Nedbank Cup semi-final. Before that, Chiefs had gone 12 matches without a win against Masandawana.

On Wednesday, Downs will look to end the Glamour Boys’ unbeaten run and get themselves back to winning ways. A win could very well see Miguel Cardoso’s men top the log.

Can Amakhosi upset Sundowns or will Miguel get another win over Nabi?
