CT City Duo Off To Europe

Posted on December 7, 2025

Talented Cape Town City duo Shakeel April and Jody Ah Shene are set to jet out of the country for Belgium where they will undergo assessment with Jupiler Pro League side Royal Antwerp.

iDiski Times has established that both players, who are South African youth internationals, are off to Belgium this weekend.

Ah Shene had a good start to the season where he represented South Africa’s U20 in the COSAFA U20 and U20 FIFA World Cup. He finished the U20 COSAFA as the top goalscorer.

April also had a good COSAFA U20 and U20 FIFA World Cup where he played a huge role. They are both expected to leave the country not later than this weekend.

City find themselves in fourth place after collecting 13 points out of 15 points. Their fight to return to the top flight is alive. They will return to action in January when they face Gomora United.
