It was a rewarding Hollywoodbets Super League weekend of action for Copperbelt Ladies who hammered Royal AM 4-0 while the University of Johannesburg thumped cross-city rivals TUT Matsatsantsa 4-2 in Tshwane.

TS Galaxy Queens picked up yet another important win after overcoming JVW FC 1-0 at Kabokweni Stadium to move second behind Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies.

Veteran midfielder Leandra Smeda was once again on the score sheet for Galaxy and increased her goal tally to 10 so far this season. The Rockets now have 37 points from 16 matches, four points from top placed Sundowns Ladies who had a bye as they are involved in the CAF Women’s Champions League – COSAFA qualifiers.

Meanwhile, the Blue Diamonds dropped two places down to sixth with 32 points from 17 outings.

University of Fort Hare handed Durban Ladies their 14th defeat of the season, beating the KwaZulu-Natal-based side 2-0 at Mpumalanga Stadium. The result saw Fort Hare move to third position on the log equal on 35 points with fourth-placed University of Johannesburg who defeated Matsatsantsa Ladies in the capital.

Durban Ladies are yet to win this season and remain rooted at the foot of the table with just five points from 19 encounters, while TUT dropped to fifth position with 35 points from 20 matches.
