Kaizer Chiefs have officially confirmed three new signings as they continue to rebuild their squad ahead of the 2025/26 season. The club, determined to return to its glory days, is not slowing down in the transfer market and is expected to announce even more players soon. With five players already shown the exit door, the Soweto giants are clearly focused on reshaping the team for better performances.
The first new signing announced is Nkanyiso Shinga, a 25-year-old left-back who is described as a versatile player capable of also operating in midfield and attack. He has been handed jersey number 74 and is expected to bring energy and flexibility to the team. Chiefs believe his ability to adapt to different positions will be useful in their upcoming campaign.
The second signing is Portuguese striker Flávio Silva, who joins the club from Indonesian side Persebaya Surabaya. The Guinea-Bissau-born forward has been given jersey number 77 and is expected to add firepower to the Chiefs’ attack. His experience in various leagues around the world could help him adjust quickly to South African football and offer a fresh dimension up front.
The third confirmed signing is attacking midfielder Ethan Chislett, a 26-year-old known for his creativity and playmaking ability. Chiefs will hope that Chislett can help unlock defences and improve their goal-scoring opportunities, which was a major challenge for them last season.
But the signing spree is not over. Four more players — Etiosa Ighodaro, Asanele Velebayi, Paseka Mako, and Thabiso Monyane — are all reportedly training with the club and could be announced officially soon. These players are expected to be part of the squad travelling to the Netherlands for Chiefs’ pre-season tour in Europe. Reports suggest that Mako and Monyane have already signed, and announcements could be made at any time.
Chiefs fans have every reason to be excited, as the club looks to build a stronger, more competitive squad for the new season.
