Chiefs & Durban City Starting XIs Announced

Posted on October 31, 2025

Kaizer Chiefs and Durban City have announced their respective starting line-ups for this evening’s much anticipated Betway Premiership encounter at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

The Glamour Boys are oozing with confidence after defeating DR Congo’s AS Simba 3-1 last weekend to make it into the CAF Confederation Cup group stage though they are on a bad run in the league having failed to win in their last four matches.

Durban City on the other hand have suffered back-to-back defeats in the Betway Premiership against AmaZulu FC and Richards Bay in the Carling Knockout Cup. Gavin Hunt’s charges have already exceeded their expectations after collecting 15 points in 10 games scoring 10 goals and conceded eight goals.

This is the first-ever meeting between Amakhosi and the PSL Premiership newcomers which sets up for an expected a mouthwatering clash.

Here is how they lineup:

Durban City Starting XI: Keet, Nwoburuoke, Mkhize, Gcaba, Mashego, Jurgens, Jodwana, Maseko, Mokwena, Nodada, Kamatuka

Subs: Mtshali, Poggenpoel, Maphathe, Magawana, Domingo, Sifumba, Lubumbashi, Koapeng, De Kock

Chiefs Starting XI: Petersen ©, Cross, McCarthy, Miguel, Solomons, Mthethwa, Ngcobo, Shabalala, Vilakazi, Lilepo, Ighodaro

Subs: Bvuma, Kwinika, Monyane, Cele, Maboe, Mmodi, Sirino, Velebayi, Da Silva
