Chiefs coach sends stern warning to his players

Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef has issued a stern warning to his players.

This comes after his side’s incredible 2-1 CAF Confederation Cup victory over Al Masry FC.

The Glamour Boys entered the weekend with slim chances of qualifying for the tournament’s last eight.

Their victory, coupled with Zesco United’s victory over Zamalek however placed them in pole position in Group D.

Nothing confirmed for Chiefs just yet

After ending the weekend top of the group, Kaizer Chiefs are now on the brink of qualifying for the knockout stages.

Ben Youssef however has urged his players to avoid thinking the job is completed.

The Glamour Boys head to Egypt to face Zamalek over the weekend, where a point will be enough to seal their fate.

If they lose in Egypt, their fate will no longer be in their own hands.

Ben Youssef warns his side

Speaking after the game, the Kaizer Chiefs coach sent a reality-check to his side.

“We haven’t done nothing. We still have another game to qualify. Now we are leading the group but there’s still another game to play to qualify and we have to come back from Egypt to qualify with a minimum one point,” the Amakhosi coach said as quoted by KickOff.

Kaizer Chiefs will face Zamalek over the weekend in their final group game of the competition.
