Chiefs Coach Points Out ‘Big Problem’

Posted on December 4, 2025

Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef has once again lamented his side’s poor finishing in their goalless draw with Chippa United.

Amakhosi dropped to fifth place on the log after struggling to break down a resilient Chippa on Wednesday evening.

Chiefs did have a few decent chances, the best from Mfundo Vilakazi who was open inside the box but denied by a brilliant save from Chippa’s Dumsani Msibi – with Youssef saying his players have no excuse for not winning this match.

“First I have to say congratulations to Chippa for the game they play, they played with a good structure, there was fight in every challenge,” he said on SuperSport TV.

“For us, I think we don’t have any excuse. When you got a lot of opportunities, even from 6m one vs one and you don’t score, that’s football.

“We have to continue to work, we have to correct the same problem. Now we are every time in the final third and we don’t score. That’s the big problem that we have and we have to continue to work.”

Chiefs have one more chance to climb back into third place when they will face TS Galaxy in the final Betway Premiership game before the AFCON break on Sunday.
