Chiefs Coach Fumes At Disallowed Goal & Penalty Shout

Posted on December 8, 2025

Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef bemoaned his side’s disallowed goal as well as a penalty shout in their frustrating 0-0 draw against TS Galaxy on Sunday.

Amakhosi picked up their second successive goalless stalemate after also failing to find the back of the net against Chippa United in midweek though their latest result saw them move into fourth place.

In the first half, it appeared as though Flavio Silva had scored a legitimate goal only for the second assistant to rule him offside while a penalty shout in the second period was also waved away by the referee.

Ben Youssef was visibly not happy in his post-match interview on SuperSport TV, further adding how Chiefs have been unlucky of late with the countless chances they have created.

“We scored a goal, in my opinion it’s a great goal,” he said.

“Penalty! We don’t take [get awarded] penalty and in football what we know in football, when you score you will win.

“We scored and they remove the goal.

“We create more than 12, 13 opportunity, 26 shots on target but finally we have to continue to work.

“I don’t like to repeat myself every time, we are unlucky.”
