Chiefs Announce Triple Home Fixtures To Start New Season

Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed they will have three consecutive home games in the league at FNB Stadium this month, with the blockbuster clash against Mamelodi Sundowns to end August.

Chiefs open their season this weekend away to Stellenbosch at Athlone Stadium on Sunday at 17h00 before returning to their home ground at the Calabash for a mid-week fixture against Polokwane City at 19h30.

Then the following week, on Tuesday, 19 August, they host Richards Bay, who pipped them for a place in the top eight last season, for another 19h30 kickoff.

And then to end the month off, they have another mid-week fixture with Sundowns, on Wednesday 27 August at 19h30 – which marks an action packed calendar for Amakhosi fans.

The Soccer City surface has just been relaid during the off-season after months of wear-and-tear, which included several events, including the Chris Brown concert in December and it promises to be in pristine condition for the new campaign.
