Chiefs Announce Squad For Zamalek Clash

Kaizer Chiefs have announced their 23-man traveling squad for their clash against Egyptian giants Zamalek in Cairo on Sunday.

Amakhosi enter the game as group leaders in their CAF Confederations Cup pool after celebrating three successive wins.

The Glamour Boys currently have 10 points from five games, two more than Zamalek and three ahead of Al-Masry.

However, with Al-Masry widely expected to beat bottom-placed ZESCO United at home, Amakhosi need at least a point to secure their place in the knockout stages.

Meanwhile, Zamalek will be keen on three points at home, which would confirm their spots in the knockouts and battle Chiefs and Al-Masry for second place.

Chiefs, though, miss the likes of Inacio Miguel and Bradley Cross, while Nkanyiso Shinga has made the squad, having yet to make his official debut for the club.

Upfront, Chiefs have most of their regulars available, with Luke Baartman, who had made most recent squads, perhaps a surprise absence, while Ashley Du Preez has returned to the squad.
