Carling All-Star Team Coach Announced

Posted on December 10, 2025

With the Carling All Star XI being confirmed, it has also been announced that Manqoba Mngqithi will guide the team on the sidelines.

The Golden Arrows coach follows in the footsteps of Jose Riveiro, who was in charge of the team for the last two seasons.

The Carling All Stars have defeated the Carling Knockout Cup winners in the last two years, beating Stellenbosch FC 2-1 in 2024 when Mfundo Vilakazi and Ashley Du Preez netted for the All Stars before Mervin Boji pulled one back for Stellies late in the game.

Meanwhile, last season the Carling All Stars beat Magesi 3-0 thanks to a brace by Naledi Hlongwane and Samkelo Zwane adding the third.

This year, Mngqithi will be on the sideline of the All Stars, hoping to continue the successful results under his predecessor Jose Riveiro after he received 20 259 votes.

Mngqithi will be joined on the sidelines by the official Champion Coach, Bonginkosi Chonco.

On Saturday, this year’s Carling Knockout Cup champions, Orlando Pirates will face the Carling All Stars at Moses Mabhida Stadium, with the match set to kick off at 15:00
