Cardoso Nominated For Major Award

Posted on November 7, 2025

Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso has made an illustrious list of coaches nominated for the IFFHS Coach of the Year award.

The International Federation of Football History and Statistics have crowned their annual winners and several categories such as World’s Best Player, World’s Best Goalscorer and World’s Best National Team Coach since 1987, with Cardoso making the shortlist this year.

The international jury is composed by the members of the IFFHS (sport journalists, football experts) from 120 countries of all continents in the world, with the ranking determined for the year (January to December), not the season.
