Cardoso Hints At Secret Weapon For New Season

Sekhukhune United defender Daniel Cardoso has suggested they have secured a signing that could fire the club to new heights in the 2025/26 season.

Sekhukhune have been one of the busiest clubs in terms of their transfer activities and one of their major signings has notably been veteran striker Bradley Grobler.

While he’s 37-year-old, the dearth of consistent goalscorers in the league perhaps makes the signing of the Premier Soccer League icon, a masterstroke – should he be able to remain fit and firing.

“Everyone know Bradley Grobler, he’s a goal scorer, last season he had a few injuries, so let’s hope this season he is injury-free and help us score some goals,” Cardoso said.

“He’s looking phenomenal training, he started a week later than us, contract issues and all that but he’s looking sharp and ready to go again.”

After finishing fourth in consecutive seasons, Cardoso says, with Eric Tinkler, in his first full season, they are targeting more, an established top-flight club now.

“Obviously it was the same [fourth place] this past season, we would have loved to have finished third or second, and every season we want to be better, hopefully we can go one or two better and challenge for the title and other trophies.”
