Cardoso Gives Transfer Update Ahead Of Monday’s Deadline

Posted on September 22, 2025

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso has given transfer update with the PSL transfer window shutting down on Monday evening.

Masandawana were uncharacteristically quiet somewhat in the transfer market even after parting ways with several players, with some sent out on loan.

The Brazilians have made two key additions so far, with Fawaaz Basadien joining from Stellenbosch FC to strengthen the left-back spot, while Tsiki Ntsabeleng came on a loan deal from MLS club, FC Dallas.

Their latest signing was Jody Ah Shene from Cape Town City but will be reportedly loaned out to AmaTuks in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

With the transfer window closing on Monday, the Tshwane giants are set to welcome Nuno Santos from Vitória Guimarães SC, as first reported by iDiski Times.

Both clubs have reached a transfer agreement and the player has agreed to personal terms, making the move imminent.

Cardoso, speaking after Sundowns’ 3-1 win over Durban City on Saturday, told reporters the club would pull out all the stops to make more signings before the transfer window closes and strengthen the squad even further.

“The market is still open and we believe that the team will be reinforced,” said Cardoso.

“We are seriously, together us coaches, sporting director and the board of the club, looking to eventually reinforce the team.”
