Campbell, Singh Bag Braces As Mailula Finally Gets Debut

Bafana Bafana youngster Shandre Campbell and Luther Singh scored braces this past weekend while Cassius Mailula finally made his debut for Kortrijk.

Campbell delivered a standout performance for Club NXT U23, scoring twice in their 3–1 victory over Beerschot VA in the Challenger Pro League.

Elsewhere in Belgium, Mailula made his first appearance for Kortrijk, coming on for 32 minutes in a tough 2–0 loss to RFC Liège.

Cyprus saw Singh trike twice AEL Limassol as they beat Omonia Aradippou 3-1 in the league match while in the same league, Mihlali Mayambela put in 83 minutes for Aris Limassol as they suffered a 2–0 defeat to APOEL.

In England, Lyle Foster played 46 minutes in Burnley’s narrow 2–1 defeat to Newcastle in the Premier League.

In the Championship, Luke Le Roux remained an unused substitute as Portsmouth held Charlton to a 0–0 draw.

Over in Germany, Ime Okon featured in the second half of Hannover 96’s 2–2 draw against Preußen Münster in the Bundesliga 2.

In Portugal, Sphephelo Sithole put in 69 minutes for Tondela, though they fell 2–0 to FC Porto.

Meanwhile in Vietnam, Percy Tau helped Nam Dinh secure an emphatic 3–0 win over Shan United, playing 79 minutes in the ASEAN Club Championship. His countryman, Njabulo Blom was not in the squad.

In Austria, Antonio van Wyk played 50 minutes in Ried’s 2–1 triumph over SK Rapid, while fellow South African Yusuf Maart was absent from the matchday squad.

And in Romania, Siyabonga Ngezana completed 46 minutes in FCSB’s 0–0 stalemate with Dinamo București.
