Campbell Bags Brace In Huge Club NXT Win

Posted on December 7, 2025

Bafana Bafana youngster Shandre Campbell bagged a brace for Club Brugge feeder team Club NXT in their 3-1 win over K.Beerschot V.A. to ease their relegation woes.

Campbell returned to Club NXT after spending a month with the senior side Club Brugge where he played close to 10 minutes in a league loss against Royal Antwerp FC and didn’t feature in the 2-1 win in the cup competition against OH Leuven.

His return to Club NXT was a blessing as they were struggling having gone 14 games without a win this season finding themselves bottom of the league table.

Campbell’s impact saw him scoring twice as they recorded the all-important three points as they find themselves in a precarious position on the league, at the base, with just one win all season.

The 20-year-old opened the scoring in the 29th minute before Beerschot equalised in the 58th minute through Genki Haraguchi. Campbell then restored his side’s parity with his second of the night in the 86th minute. Tobias Lund Jensen then all but put the game to bed in the 90th minute.

The former SuperSport United midfielder is expected to join the Bafana Bafana camp for AFCON this week as they will be preparing for the showpiece that will kick off on 21 December in Morocco.
