Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos is confident that his charges can overcome Nigeria.

Bafana were drawn in the same group as the West Africans for their Fifa World Cup qualifiers.

They will receive a stern test from the Nigerians if they are to qualify for the World Cup.

But Broos is optimistic that they can defeat Nigeria and qualify for the World Cup which shall be held in 2026.

Bafana will also have to dual it out against neighbors Zimbabwe and Lesotho, while matches against Benin and Rwanda complete the group of six nations.

South Africa last played at a world cup in 2010.

The 2010 Fifa World Cup was hosted by South Africa and it was the first time that was held on African soil.

Broos and his Bafana charges are currently on a hot streak of seven unbeaten matches, with their recent 2-1 triumph over Africa Cup of Nations qualifying win over Morocco, Africa’s highest-ranked nation.

The Bafana coach managed to guide the national team to the upcoming African Cup of Nations.

He has already built a solid foundation in the national team and he is surely doing a great job.

The magnitude of these challenges cannot be understated, as the squad faces five arduous away encounters, each fraught with its unique obstacles.

Bafana is under pressure to qualify for the World Cup and they have the resources to do so.
