Betway Premiership: Marumo Gallants vs Kaizer Chiefs

Posted on January 28, 2026

After a successful weekend trip to Zambia, Kaizer Chiefs are back in Mzansi – and on Betway Premiership duty on Wednesday evening.

They will face Marumo Gallants in their next league assignment at the Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium in Mangaung.

Kick-off is at 19:30.

Unbeaten in 2026

Kaizer Chiefs took on ZESCO United in Ndola on Sunday in the CAF Confederation Cup and secured three valuable points on the road.

Prior to that, they opened their domestic campaign for the year with a 1-0 victory over Golden Arrows at FNB Stadium.

Wednesday’s clash marks the halfway point of the season for the Glamour Boys, who have played 14 matches and collected 27 points, placing them third on the log.

Marumo Gallants, meanwhile, sit in 12th position with 15 points from their 15 matches.

Squad rotation

With fixtures coming thick and fast, requiring the team to play every three days, coach Khalil Ben Youssef emphasised the importance of squad rotation to keep players fresh.

He expressed gratitude for the depth of the squad, which will be crucial in navigating 11 matches in just 40 days – many of which involve extensive travel.

Amakhosi will be aiming for all three points to reach the 30-point mark and consolidate their place in the top three of the Betway Premiership.

Kaizer Chiefs supporters in the Free State province are encouraged to wear their Gold & Black colours and rally behind the team against Bahlabane ba Ntwa as the Soweto giants attempt to maintain their 100% winning record in 2026.

Tickets are available online via Computicket, as well as at Shoprite and Checkers outlets, selling for R100 each.

Prediction

Marumo Gallants 1-2 Kaizer Chiefs
