Best Chiefs XI with returning Msimango, Dortley?

Posted on November 13, 2025

Kaizer Chiefs are minus a few key defensive players. Their uptick in form in recent weeks could be boosted further.

Given Msimango is on the comeback trail, while Rushwin Dortley will be back in action in early 2026.

Will both force their way back into the side?

Best Kaizer Chiefs XI with returning stars Msimango, Dortley

Petersen; Monyane, Msimango, Miguel, Dortley; Cele, Mthethwa; Shabalala, Ngcobo, Mmodi; Silva.

This combination would see Dortley shifted to a narrow left-back role. The likes of Siphesihle Ndlovu, Mfundo Vilakazi, Ashley du Preez and Gaston Sirino, among others, would have to be content with a place on the bench. What does your best XI look like?

Chiefs turned down the chance to sign Witbooi

Kaizer Chiefs have been taking a look at Amajimbos and Cape Town City star Emile Witbooi. However, they’re not the only ones. Premier League giants Chelsea also took the 17-year-old attacking midfielder on trial. Now he’s turning heads with his performances for Amajimbos at the U17 World Cup in Qatar.

Kaizer Chiefs fixtures

Next up is a trip to Magesi on Saturday, 22 November, with kickoff at 18:00, followed by a home battle with Golden Arrows on Sunday, the 20th. After that, it’s a trip to Chippa on 3 December. There’s a whopping 55 days to wait until their next assignment, a trip to Marumo Gallants on 27 January 2026. The Glamour Boys have won their last two league matches and are unbeaten in five. Flavio Silva seems to have found his feet, too, with four goals in five league outings, which bodes well for upcoming tests to close out 2025.
