Bafana vs Rwanda Starting XI Confirmed

Posted on October 14, 2025

Bafana Bafana have announced their starting lineup for this evening must-win 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers clash against Rwanda at the Mbombela Stadium.

The hosts are in second spot in Group C two points behind leaders Benin with Hugo Broos’ troops, needing to beat the Rwandans and then hope that Nigeria either beat or hold Benin at home.

Bafana are on the back of a disappointing 0-0 with Zimbabwe in the previous World Cup qualifier played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Friday night while Rwanda suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Benin at home.

How South Africa will qualify:

  • SA must win and Nigeria must beat Benin
  • SA must win by two goals margin or more if Benin plays a draw against Nigeria.

Here is how both sides lineup:

Bafana Starting XI: Williams (c), Mudau, Sibisi, Ndamana, Modiba, Mokoena, Mbatha, Mbule, Morena, Apollis, Makgopa

Subs: Chaine, Goss, Shabalala, Aubaas, Cupido, Sithole, Matuludi, Nkota, Moremi, Khoza, Kabini, Moloisane

Rwanda Starting XI: tbc.
