Bafana Bafana and Nigeria have announced their respective starting line-ups ahead of tonight’s high-stakes 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier at the Free State Stadium.

South Africa head into the encounter buoyed by a convincing 3–0 thrashing over Lesotho on Friday night, while the Super Eagles had to settle for a narrow 1-0 win against Rwanda.

Hugo Broos’ men currently lead Group C with 16 points from seven matches with a draw enough to see them seal World Cup qualification. Nigeria sit third with 10 points from the same number of games and are under immense pressure to come away with a win in order to keep their hopes alive.

Here’s how both sides square up:

Subs: Chaine, Goss, Mbatha, Monyane, Le Roux, Rayners, Modiba, Mofokeng, Sebelebele, Ndamane, Moloisane, Shabalala, Mofokeng

Nigeria Starting XI: Nwabali, Aina, Ndidi, Ekong, Lookman, Fredrick, Dele-Bashiru, Simon, Iwobi, Dessers, Bassey

Subs: Adebayo, Onyeka, Awaziem, Akrokodare, Chukwueze, Osayi, Uche, Onyemaechi, Obasogie, Agu, Nwadike
