Bafana & Cameroon Starting XIs Announced

Posted on January 4, 2026

Bafana Bafana and Cameroon have announced their respective starting line-ups ahead of tonight’s crunch 2025 Africa Cup of Nations last 16 clash at the Agdal Medina Stadium in Rabat.

South Africa faces a demanding hurdle in their bid to reach the quarterfinals after an unimpressive campaign so far.

Hugo Broos’ charges have picked up two wins so far at the continental showpiece which was a 2-1 triumph over Angola and a 3-2 success against Zimbabwe though they narrowly went down 1-0 to Egypt.

The Indomitable Lions on the other hand remain unbeaten in Morocco having registered two wins and a draw. They beat Gabon 1-0 in the opening clash and drew 1-1 with current champions Ivory Coast before a 2-1 success over Mozambique.

The last time these two sides met was back in 2016 with the tie ending in a pulsating 2-2 draw in an AFCON qualifier.

Here’s how they line up:

Bafana Starting XI: Williams (c), Mbokazi, Ngezana, Mudau, Kabini, Sibisi, Mokoena, Aubaas, Mofokeng, Appollis, Foster
