One of Hugo Broos’ key Bafana players has been linked with a sensational move to Al Ahly.
Al Ahly are one of the biggest sides not only in Africa but the entire football world. The Egyptian giants were home to both Pitso Mosimane and Percy Tau a few years back.

Agent gives update on Bafana star linked with Al Ahly move
Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana midfielder Teboho Mokoena has been one of the country’s most consistent players.
Mokoena has performed at an incredibly high level over the past five years.
Since joining Sundowns back in 2022, Mokoena has already made 156 appearances for the club.
He also has 49 senior Bafana appearances for the country. Now, recent reports suggested Al Ahly are pushing to sign him but his has since agent stated otherwise.
According to Glyn Binkin, there’s no offer on the table for the 28-year-old Sundowns midfielder.
“We have not received any contact whatsoever from Al Ahly regarding signing Mokoena,” Binkin told Newsroom as quoted by Soccer Laduma.
“Mokoena is still under contract with Mamelodi Sundowns, having renewed his contract last year.”
Mokoena is ready for a move abroad
In terms of readiness for a move abroad, Mokoena is definitely in the clear. His unfinished business at Sundowns however may be a stumbling block.
The club will not want to lose their star man while they chasing a second continental crown.
Regardless though, if Mokoena shines for Bafana at the Fifa World Cup later this year, Masandawana will find it extremely difficult to hold onto their midfield general.
