Newly appointed Durban City head coach Sinethemba Badela has addressed whether the club plans to bring in new players during the January transfer window.
PSL clubs have been bolstering their squads as they prepare for a demanding second half of the season set to kick off in the coming fortnight.
Badela said he is confident in the squad at his disposal for the second round but stressed that he is keen to give DStv Diski Challenge players a chance before considering strengthening from outside the club.
“No, I’m happy with the team I have as of now, and I’m thankful to people who assembled it,” said Badela during the interview on Prime Time Sport on UKhozi FM.
“What I’m busy with at the moment is checking the young boys we have [in the DDC], I watch them every day.
“We want to see what we have in that team and then if we don’t find what we want in that team, then we can go out.
“But so far, our Diski Challenge boys have really impressed me. I would like to give them a chance first before we see where we can add.”
The KZN side is seventh in the league standings with 22 points accumulated from 15 matches.
