According to KickOff, Orlando Pirates have landed an almighty coup in signing Oswin Appollis from Polokwane City. The Sea Robbers managed to pay only R12 million for the star winger despite Polokwane having a much larger number in mind.
Polokwane chairman Johnny Mogaladi allegedly has a frosty relationship with the Kaizer Chiefs top brass, meaning a deal between the sides was never likely. Chiefs manager Nasreddine Nabi also feels as though new signing Glody Lilepo can provide a better end-product than Appollis, who only managed two goals and an assist from 25 league outings last term.
