Any winning Kaizer Chiefs combination must have Glody Lilepo

Posted on December 2, 2025

Kaizer Chiefs fans seem to like what they’ve seen from Glody Lilepo. Many of them are calling for the wide attacker to start more games.

The 27-year-old Congolese star is versatile and can play across the front three.

Is he getting enough game time?

Kaizer Chiefs fans call for more of Glody Lilepo

Makabi Glody Lilepo hasn’t started any of Kaizer Chiefs’ last three matches across all competitions, with his last start coming away to Durban City on 31 October.

He has featured in 10 of 11 Betway Premiership matches this season so far, mostly as a super-sub.

The Glamour Boys’ next league outing is away to strugglers Chippa United on Wednesday, 3 December, with kick-off at 19:30.

Meanwhile, the club has reportedly cooled its interest in journeyman Ugandan striker Steven Mukwala.

Petersen, Solomons, Kwinika, Miguel, Cross, Mthethwa, Ngcobo, Vilakazi, Shabalala, Mmodi, Ighodaro.

No Kaizer Chiefs players called up for AFCON

Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns players dominate Hugo Broos’ 25-man Bafana Bafana squad for the upcoming 2025 AFCON in Morocco.

Fourteen players come from the nation’s top two teams, the Buccaneers and Masandawana, but there are no Kaizer Chiefs stars in the group.

Mduduzi Shabalala has, however, been named as one of three non-travelling stand-bys.
