Amajimbos Starting XI Vs Italy Announced

Posted on November 9, 2025

Vela Khumalo has announced South Africa’s Under17 starting line-up to face Italy in their final Group A encounter.

Amajimbos come to this game on the back of two good results, kicking off the tournament with a 3-1 win over Bolivia before drawing 1-1 with hosts Qatar.

The exciting U17 side will still be without defender Sive Pama after he received a red card against Bolivia in the opener.

Amajimbos need a draw to guarantee their spot in the knockout stages, but even in case they would lose they could still qualify as one of the best third-placed teams.

This would be history in making for South Africa as it would be the first time an U17 side qualify for the knockout stages.

Meanwhile, Italy have already secured their spot in the knockout stages after winning both matches against Bolivia and Qatar.

Here is how they line up:

South Africa U17 XI: Radebe, Pama, Hendricks, Mothapo, Dhlamini, Mareletse, Sekgoto, Booysen, Els, Witbooi, Bohloko

Subs: Noqobo, Marthinus, Stevens, Dlekedla, Morake, Taylor, Henson, Mokhobo
