All the best signings for Kaizer Chiefs and Pirates

Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs have dominated the transfer window so far, making over 20 signings combined.

Both Soweto giants are looking to compete with Mamelodi Sundowns for the league, although the Buccaneers came close last season.

So far, Amakhosi are looking sharp, especially in the Betway Premiership, where they are second after winning their opening three matches. Their rivals on the other hand, have struggled for results despite bringing in 12 new players this campaign.

Which new players have impressed for both Chiefs and Pirates?

Kamogelo Sebelebele (Orlando Pirates)

The speedy winger is having the time of his life with the Buccaneers. The 23-year-old scored back-to-back goals in his last two appearances for the club. His energy and eye for goal has already won him the hearts of millions of Bucs faithful across the country.

Thabiso Monyane (Kaizer Chiefs)

Having left Pirates for free, Monyane immediately joined Kaizer Chiefs. With Amakhosi having Reeve Frosler and Dillan Solomons, it seemed unlikely that the former Bucs right-back would even kick a ball this season. Monyane impressed during pre-season, and in the three matches played, he has been one of Chiefs’ best players.

Sipho Mbule (Orlando Pirates)

The former Sundowns midfielder has made his mark at Pirates and looks increasingly comfortable with each passing match. He hasn’t reached top form but signs are there that the Bafana Bafana star will marshal the Bucs midfield this season.

Siphesihle Ndlovu (Kaizer Chiefs)

The former Pirates and SuperSport United defensive midfielder has been a joy to watch at Chiefs so far this season. He scored against Polokwane City to give Amakhosi all three points and keep their 100% record intact.
