A recently departed Kaizer Chiefs first-team star has completed a move to a new club.

After going three months unemployed, Mozambican international Edmilson Dove has moved to the Middle East.

Dove was a steady performer for Nasreddine Nabi last season. However, he was surprisingly released at the end of the season!

Dove closes Kaizer Chiefs chapter, signs for new club

Edmilson Dove has officially completed a move to Iraqi top-flight side Al Quwa Al Jawiya.

The Iraq side took to social media to confirm the arrival of the Mozambique star as a free agent.

“Thank you, Mr chairman, for allowing me and my family to be part of the Amakhosi family, for allowing me to fulfil a childhood dream,” Dove said following his Kaizer Chiefs exit back in June as per FARPost.

“It’s been a ride, of which I have grown not only as a player, but as well as a human being. We had our ups and downs. We have shed some tears along the way. But we also had joyful moments which I will cherish forever.”

Will Maboe be a success at Naturena?

Edmilson Dove made 56 appearances for Kaizer Chiefs FC. He scored two goals at the club while helping them lift the Nedbank Cup title.
