Abongile Tom should be FIRED from the PSL, don’t demote him to ABC Motsepe

Mlungisi Ngubane has made an appeal to the South African Football Association to get rid of what he calls ‘rotten potatoes’ from their refereeing panel.

“If he makes a mistake for the second time, he should be suspended, and if he continues to make another mistake for the third time, then he should be fired,” Ngubane said.

“You make the first mistake, we understand. A second mistake, we are confused now. The third mistake, it’s unacceptable. You are not fit enough to be in this league.

“Don’t demote him to the ABC Motsepe League, just fire him. He must be banned. That’s the solution. Bad referees should be fired from football, regardless of who they are.”

“I don’t think we still have referees who take brown envelopes because they know they will be arrested. Referees are not bribed, they just need to correct their mistakes. Abongile Tom is a FIFA referee, he is just out of form.”
