Former Kaizer Chiefs coach to African giants?

Nabi has been without a job since parting ways with Kaizer Chiefs in September last year, bringing a short one-season spell in South African football to an end.

Since then, Amakhosi have been under the guidance of his former assistants Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef, who stepped in on an interim basis until the end of the campaign.

WYDAD CASABLANCA LOOKING FOR SOLUTIONS

Despite his availability, Nabi has not rushed into a new role, and recent developments suggest he is being selective about his next move.

Reports from Morocco indicate that the former Kaizer Chiefs mentor has already turned down an opportunity to take over at Wydad Casablanca, one of the continent’s heavyweights.

The Moroccan giants are currently in the market for a new coach after parting ways with Patrice Carteron following a run of poor league results.

With the club looking to steady the ship before the end of the season, Nabi was identified as a potential candidate, given his experience across African football.

However, the timing of the approach appears to have worked against Wydad’s plans.

“The schedule of remaining matches until the end of the professional league, which is very close together, prevents me from coaching Wydad during this period,” Nabi told One One, as per LesiteInfo.

“I offered to take over the technical management of the team officially, at the beginning of the summer break, that is, after the end of all competitions of the current football season.”

WHAT DID YOU MAKE OF KAIZER CHIEFS’ DECISION TO PART WAYS WITH NASREDDINE NABI?
