Kaizer Chiefs’ next match on Easter Monday
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Kaizer Chiefs will face Orbit College FC on Monday, 6 April 2026, at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00.

The game was initially set to be played in Rustenburg at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Tuesday, 7 April at 19:30. However, due to the venue’s unavailability, Orbit College requested a switch.

KAIZER CHIEFS RETURN AFTER FIFA BREAK

Amakhosi head into this match sitting 4th on the table with 36 points after 20 games, having won half of those fixtures.

A big part of that consistency has come from improved defensive structure, with just 12 goals conceded so far this season. Brandon Petersen set the tone early on with five consecutive clean sheets, giving the side a solid base.

In attack, Flávio Silva has delivered regularly, scoring 13 league goals and providing the cutting edge that was often missing in previous campaigns.

Balancing league action with CAF Confederation Cup commitments has not been straightforward, but strong performances at the FNB Stadium have helped maintain momentum.

Now, attention turns to this Easter Monday clash, a chance for Kaizer Chiefs to restart their campaign on the right note after the break.

ORBIT COLLEGE IN DESPERATE RELEGATION BATTLE

The Mswenko Boys are having a tough first season in the top league. They are currently near the bottom of the standings, sitting in 15th place. While they were excited to get promoted, they’ve found it hard to keep up with the bigger teams. Their main problem has been scoring goals, as they haven’t found the back of the net very often in their 22 matches so far.

The team has lost most of their recent games, which has put them in a fight to stay in the division. Moving their big game against Kaizer Chiefs to Gqeberha is a bit of a gamble. It helps the club financially, but it means they aren’t playing in front of their usual local fans in Rustenburg. With only a few games left in the season, Orbit need to start picking up points quickly to avoid relegation, with just four points above the Magesi FC.
