Kaizer Chiefs’ upcoming away match against Orbit College has been relocated to a different venue.

The match was set to take place in Rustenburg, North West province but the fixture will now be held at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape.

In addition to the venue change, both the date and kick-off time have also been adjusted. The match was initially set for Tuesday, 7 April at 19:30, but will now take place on Easter Monday,6 April at 15:00.

“The decision to move the game was made at the request of the home team, Orbit College, due to the unavailability of the Royal Bafokeng Stadium and to better accommodate the expected crowd. Ticketing information will be shared in due course,” stated Kaizer Chiefs on their website.

Amakhosi have regained form in their last two matches after suffering four consecutive defeats. Victories against Durban City and Magesi FC have helped the Soweto giants climb to fourth place in the Betway Premiership, with nine matches remaining.

Chiefs are still on track to finish in the top three despite their earlier setbacks. The back-to-back wins have boosted the players’ confidence, and the two co-coaches, Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef, have discovered a successful game strategy.

Kaizer Chiefs looking to finish top 3

Finishing in the top three will not be easy, as the club still has to face title contenders Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates in their final matches of the season. A victory against either team could secure their spot in the CAF Confederation Cup, while defeats could jeopardise their season.

Kaizer Chiefs remain unbeaten against Sundowns in their last two encounters but have struggled against archrivals Pirates, going winless in five consecutive league matches. Their next fixture against Orbit College is seen by many as a winnable fixture.

Can Chiefs finish in the top 3?
